RENEWABLE ENERGY
Namibia boasts the world’s second highest solar and wind regimes, possessing a technical wind potential of over 100GW, making it one of the windiest places in the world with a capacity factor of around 50%. In addition, Namibia has a large capacity of rangeland and biodiversity which make it suitable for the accumulated biomass opportunities
GREEN HYDROGEN
Namibia possesses abundant renewable energy resources and a strategic coastal location, making it well-suited to become a significant producer of green hydrogen. The country has attracted substantial investment in the green hydrogen sector, with several major projects underway.
The Namibian government actively supports the green hydrogen industry and has devised a national hydrogen strategy. This strategy aims to establish Namibia as a leading producer and exporter of green hydrogen while stimulating job creation and economic opportunities.
