TOURISM
Attracting over 1.5 million tourists (2019) and employing over 100,000 Namibians, tourism is the second largest contributor to Namibia’s GDP. The increase in tourism to Namibia has led to an increase in job opportunities, but also in human resource development and need for investment in infrastructure.

Namibia was the first African country to incorporate protection of the environment into its constitution, and today, over 46.8% of Namibia's surface area is under conservation management.
